Members - we need your help
Vacancies October 2026: We are looking for volunteers to help and support the Committee, in particular a Vice-Chair to assist the Chair and Secretary. This would be a committee role, and would suit someone with some experience in a similar role in a charity or other small organisation/business. We are hoping some of our newer members might be interested - please contact Rosemary (Chair) or Grahame (Treasurer).
Did you know? The current Chair and Treasurer will come to the end of their three year term in office at the March 2027 AGM. We are therefore asking our membership for volunteers to step into these roles. If you want to find out more, please contact Rosemary or Grahame. There will be more information in the December newsletter.
Other volunteer roles: we are also looking for volunteers to support us in other roles, e.g. someone with some marketing or publicity experience to help promote our u3a further through different channels.
AGM 2026 summary and AGM 2027 date and formal notice
Our 2026 AGM was held at The Somer Centre on 30th March 2026. 92 of our members attended, which was a brilliant turnout. Rosemary Lovell was returned as our Chair for one further year (until March 2027). We thanked Dafydd Evans and Carol Channon, who both stepped down, for their involvement with the Committee. Other committee members were re-elected, so we are currently a Committee of 10 at present (2026-27). See About Us page for current listing of all Committee Members.
Our next AGM is set for Monday 22nd March 2027. The formal notice of the 2027 AGM can be downloaded here.
