On 29th April, thirty four of our members enjoyed a coach trip to Bowood House and Gardens.  We were fortunate that although breezy, at times, the weather was dry and sunny.

This encouraged many of us to explore the parkland, lakeside path, cascade waterfall and Doric Temple.

The newly restored walled gardens provided a tranquil spot to sit and enjoy the climbing roses.

The terrace gardens, with ornate fountains, had colourful beds with tulips still in flower, but also afforded peaceful views of the landscaped park.’
