We normally meet on the last Friday of the month at various addresses except in August and December, when we have a month off.

Our group is made up of writers who enjoy poetry, short stories, personal essays, and even the occasional novel-in-progress. Some of us write with publication in mind, while others simply enjoy the creative process. A few members also belong to other writing groups, online or in person, while others prefer to share their work solely within this group.

Each month we try to produce at least one piece of writing, more if inspiration strikes, especially with poems. Sometimes we follow a theme or respond to prompts from our group leader. When we meet, we share our work, chat about the creative process, and offer each other constructive praise and gentle, thoughtful critique. We’re careful about how feedback is given, and we follow strong principles to keep the space supportive and encouraging.
